One of the primary programs here at Neighbors Along the Line is our Food and Nutrition Program. We are not only a lifeline for those in the community experiencing food insecurity, but also a resource for clients seeking to learn how to feed their families healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals. We offer food assistance through our Food Pantry, as well as cooking classes and a Recipe Box to provide meal planning ideas.
Includes academic tutoring, GED/HISET test preparation, career services, and a computer lab
This program assists neighbors with submitting applications for the Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program (SNAP) to increase the neighbors’ resources to purchase groceries.
A food-bank funded program that provides nutritious meals to seniors who don't qualify for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.
A federally recognized program that provides nutritious meals to qualifying adults at congregate adult daycare sites.
Screens patients for food insecurity when they are accessing health services, provides immediate access to food before patients leave the clinic, and refers them to other resources in the community.
Organizations with 501(c)(3) status or faith-based organizations partner with FBEO to receive food to operate food distribution programs, such as pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and group homes, among many others.
A federally recognized program that provides free meals to children during the summer months when they cannot access free and reduced-price lunches at school.
Distributes snacks and easy-to-prepare foods to students every Friday to supplement weekend meals at home when they cannot access school meals.
