This metric shows the number of women in poverty between ages 12 and 24. Percentages are calculated by dividing this number by the total population of women ages 12-24. The Census poverty measure compares the poverty threshold with income 12 months prior to the survey response. If an individual or household's income is below the poverty threshold, they are considered to be in poverty.
