School Attendance: Chronic Absenteeism in Tulsa County

About

This statistic shows the percentage of total students in a school district who are chronically absent, or missing 10% or more of the school year. Note: Data is not available for 2020 or 2021. During the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years, the State Department of Education requested a waiver of accountability which would amend some reporting requirements, including attendance, due to disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic. The requests were approved by the U.S. Department of Education. More information is available in the source details.

Opp Project
At the Opp, we believe that high-quality programming is our guiding star. We engage youth-serving organizations like the Tulsa Zoo, in the continuous quality improvement cycle through rigorous assessments and program observations, focusing on safety, efficacy, and youth development. To uphold the standards of high-quality expanded learning in Tulsa, the Opp conducts assessments and program observations during the fall and spring semesters. These evaluations encompass safety, efficacy, and the impact of programming on youth development. We ensure that afterschool and summer programs offered are enriching, high-quality experiences that youth are excited to attend.
